How I got to Thailand

Hi, I’m Cecelia Esposito, owner and founder of COCO SIAM™; and I’m so excited to share with you, the journey that led to me finding, what I believe to be, the best Extra Virgin Coconut Oil available!

During the summer of 2012, while I was working in New York I reconnected with a feeling I’d had for a long time – the urge to travel, to experience different cultures, meet new friends and see the world.

From that moment, I was on my way – I knew if I didn’t do it now I’d never do it - I booked a one-way ticket to Bangkok, Thailand.

Driving from the airport in a bright pink Bangkok taxi, I was fascinated by the mass of people, motorbikes, markets and food vendors flashing past my window. After settling in I found a job teaching English and cooking to young Thai students.

The first year living in Thailand was a whirlwind of new experiences and I tried to take every opportunity to immerse myself in the local Thai culture. I was mesmerized by the colors, smells, scenery and food that Thailand is so rightly famous for.

My passion for coconut oil had been awakened and I knew I wanted to share this passion with the people back home. I travelled throughout Southeast Asia and finally found the freshest, purest, organic coconuts on a small farm along the gulf of Thailand.  COCO SIAM™ was, in a nutshell, born!
